7 yearsToday I got two calls morning, but it’s not the first time this whole week. One call said it was from “Visa Secure” and the other was supposedly from Visa and Mastercard security teams. Both times, a robotic voice said I spent £600 in a foreign country and told me to “Press 1 to confirm or block the charge.”Visa SecureVisaMastercardPress 17 yearsJust got one of those scam calls too. A woman with a British accent, but clearly a recording, said she was calling from Visa Secure. She told me someone had apparently withdrawn £600 from my account in the last quarter of an hour through Western Union. Then she said to press 1 to get help to stop the payment. I hung up straight away, then waited around 5 minutes and rang 1471 to check if the number popped up. It did show up, but no idea if all these calls originate from that number.Visa SecureWestern Union7 yearsOn the 15th of November, 2019, my landline rang with a recorded message claiming to be from my bank. It said someone was trying to move £600 abroad using my card and asked me to press 1 to confirm. I didn’t trust it and just ended the call straight away without pressing anything.Submit Your Own Report (01687 072548)
