I just got a call from this number again and it played the same recorded message as last time. They asked me to ring back on 02031296491, which I’m pretty sure is just a scam.

got a call from some automated voice talking about hmrc and legal trouble. it sounded really dodgy. they gave a phone number to ring back, but i didnt catch it properly. pretty sure it was one of those expensive premium rate lines. the message told me to get my lawyer to ring them instead. bit fishy if you ask me.

On the 28th of March in 2016, which happened to fall during the Easter break, I was using a pay-as-you-go mobile. To my bewilderment, my phone rang with a call from a landline number I had never dialled. When I checked my balance, I discovered a charge of about £5 had been deducted. I've never reached out to that number or had any dealings with them! Is there anyone willing to take these thieves to task? When will the network providers actually step in and put an end to this nonsense?

Honestly, just ignore the calls. I'm 16 and have never been behind the wheel, yet somehow they insisted they were ringing about a crash I was involved in. Rang my husband's mobile, but the caller went silent as soon as he picked up.

A woman rang me claiming to be from Blackburn Insurance and told me to just hear her out (she clearly just read a script). Got a ring from this number just now, some person said they were with BT and talked about my PPI claim. I just ended the call straightaway. Number's from Llanidloes, somewhere in Mid Wales. Pretty sure it was a PPI scam call.
