Yesterday morning at about 8:30, I got a call from this number. It was a guy with an Asian accent who asked just a few questions - like what brand my boiler is, if I owe over £6,000, and roughly how old I am. He seemed to already have my full name and address, which was pretty unsettling.

The phone was answered by a woman who claimed I was being sued. I just hung up straight away, figured it was some kind of scam.

I didn’t pick up as I haven’t a clue who it was. These calls have only begun today, the 18th of December, so I can only assume it’s some tiresome spiel about boilers or life insurance. I really wish that companies like BT and EE would put in a bit more effort to check if these callers are legitimate before allowing them to harass folks with daily nuisance calls. They’re still raking in the profits, so it seems they’re not too fussed about the whole situation.
