Got a call from 01684290522 but the person just cut off. I tried calling back twice, it just kept ringing and no one picked up. Feels dodgy, probably a scam or something.

Phone went off, I picked it up and the person just ended the call straight away. Honestly, I’m getting tired of dropping everything for these calls. Next time, I’ll just ignore it and let it go to voicemail. Should’ve done that this time really.

He called asking if I was getting scam calls lately. Then he mentioned one of my debit cards was about to expire and asked if I could check. I told him I wasn’t interested and ended the call straight away.

A woman with an Asian accent, who gave her name as Marie, rang me claiming to be from the call blocking team. She wanted to know if I was still receiving cold calls. I told her, "No, just this one." The connection was really bad, so I asked her to say it again. When she repeated herself, she was shouting this time. After I asked three times saying I couldn’t hear properly, she just ended the call. Earlier today, a different dodgy number, 01282 744507, rang me but the line cut off before we even spoke.

This bloke claimed he was from Microsoft's tech support. I asked him to say it again just to be sure. Said my PC was compromised and I needed to hit the "ctrl" key so he could get into my machine. Yeah, as if! I was at the office and our computers run all day non-stop. Then he actually called me a fibber!

Some bloke with an Asian accent said his name was Steven White. I told him he'd called me a few days ago from another number, using the exact same name. He claimed there was an issue with my computer again, which I don't even own. When I told him about the previous call, he accused me of lying. After I started giving him some sass, he just hung up on me.

Some bloke called me about my computer, but I told him I don’t even own one. Then he started calling me a liar over and over, proper rude. I told him to stop calling and take me off their list because I’m fed up - I get calls like this five or six times every single day.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent, telling me to sit at my computer because there was an issue he could help me sort out. I told him to ring back when my husband was around, but he insisted that since I'm the owner, I should be the one to deal with the problem. Yeah, sure... I just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from this number saying they were from window technical or something like that. I didn’t even let him finish before telling him I was going to report him. He kept on talking but I just told him he was a total scammer and to buzz off. Sorry if I sounded rude, was just really annoyed.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Shaun working in some nuisance call dept. The guy had such a heavy Indian accent it was hard to catch what he was saying. When I asked why he was calling, he got all defensive and called himself Shaun? Ended up telling him he's the real nuisance and just hung up on those daft people.

Got two calls today. The first one was just silence, then suddenly this creepy woman says ‘Goodbye’. The second call just had dead silence and then cut off. These calls are really unnerving since you can’t even say anything to make them stop.

In just a couple days, my landline got two calls. The first time, there was no one on the other end. When they rang back, all I caught was the tail end of some robot message saying "Goodbye". Pretty odd.

Got a call from a guy who said his name was John and that he worked for the Windows Tech Team. I replied, "Oh, is that so?" and he asked if he was speaking to Mr (my name). I told him, "He's not here." He sounded a bit confused and said, "He's not here?" I just repeated, "No, he's out." Then he just ended the call. Guess he didn’t have a response ready for that!

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming he could help block annoying foreign calls, but only if I gave him my BT account info as proof. Lucky for me, I’m no longer a BT customer. Still, fair play to him for trying. Definitely sounds like a scam to me. I haven’t bothered ringing the number back - don’t want to risk them hacking my CLI data or anything. My plan now is to report this to Action Fraud, BT, and maybe even file a GDPR complaint with the ICO. Anyone else worried their BT details might have been compromised?

Just got a call from this number pretending to be my bank's fraud team, saying my debit card was blocked due to suspicious transactions and asking for my card info to "fix" it. Someone pretending to be from a UK call blocking firm rang me up. They already knew my name and address, then asked me to verify the expiry date on my debit or credit card, showing ##/##. I quickly told them they were obviously trying to scam me. They were trying to sell some device costing over £100 to block calls! After I ended the call, he rang me back two more times. I warned I’d report the number for scamming and harassment. After that, no more calls from them!

Got a call from this number, a bloke claiming to be from BT Openreach saying there was an issue with my computer. I told him straight away that BT Openreach wouldn’t be calling about things like that. Then he switched to saying it was something to do with Virgin Media. I mentioned I’m on the TPS list, but he just carried on chatting about my PC. I pressed him for more info, like what software was affected, and he just said it was some internal hardware stuff. I told him I was going to report the call as a scam and he just hung up with a quick goodbye!
