Right after we bought something on the internet, we got this automated call wanting loads of info. Something felt off, so we just hung up. Then we rang our bank and they told us it was definitely a scam.

So these lot claim to be from CONNECT CALLS or something like that. They call from a number you don’t know and try to get you to join some "free" service to stop spam calls. They seem to have some of your info already, but then want you to confirm your card details out loud. I found this number ‘cos I told them I’d call back and they gave it to me, and sure enough, it connected. Could be linked to that recent TalkTalk breach, if you ask me.

Got a call supposedly from a road accident helpline, but it was just an automated message. After about 15 seconds of awkward silence, a voice popped up telling me to press 9 if I wanted to be taken off their list. Bit odd and a waste of time really.
