Got a call from a woman who spoke with an Asian accent, said her name was Anna and claimed she worked for BT accounts. She insisted my bill was about to go up by £36 next month, but in return, I'd get free local and international calls. I told her I wasn’t with BT and that it sounded like a scam and illegal, asking her not to ring me again. She just kept going on and on, so I ended up having to hang up.

I’ve received yet another call from that very number. This time, a woman named "Janet" claimed to represent BT's technical department. She ominously warned me that my broadband could be cut off “any moment”. When she inquired if I was aware of the cause, I cheekily mentioned it might be related to the floods happening in Texas. She insisted this was a “vital” phone call. Curiosity got the better of me, and I pressed her for specifics regarding why she was ringing. At that point, she abruptly hung up!

Received a rather dodgy call from a bloke claiming to be "Daniel," who had a noticeable Indian accent. He insisted he was ringing from BT, mentioning there was an issue with my computer. When I mentioned I'd received a similar call just the previous week, he promptly cut the line. It appears to be the standard ruse where they try to trick you into downloading software, enabling them to gain access to your computer and potentially spy on your activities, including tracking your keystrokes. Quite the cheeky scheme, really!

Got a call from someone supposedly BT tech support, saying my broadband was about to be cut off because of some stuff on my computer. I actually have Virgin! I got a call from a lady with an Indian accent who said she was from BT. She told me my internet was going to be cut off unless I logged on and spoke to their tech support to fix some issue. I just ended the call. Then, about ten minutes later, another woman rang me, said pretty much the same thing. I told her I’m not a BT customer and asked them to stop calling me before hanging up.

I also asked them to refrain from calling me again, as I had already received two calls last Friday from the same number. I got a phone call earlier today around 10:12 AM from someone purporting to be from BT, saying there was an issue with my internet. I informed the lady, who seemed to be of Asian descent, that I thought it was all a load of rubbish, and I promptly ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be BT, said my internet would be cut off in a couple of hours unless I deleted some infected files from my PC. Odd thing is, he knew my full name, address including postcode, and my phone number. My internet’s been working perfectly fine though. Pretty sure it was a scammer trying to hack into my computer. I told them I only use an iPad and then just ended the call.

We got a call from someone claiming to be BT, saying our internet would be cut off for 15 days because some of our files on the computer were corrupted. Since we’re with Virgin, I rang them up to double check. They said if there was any problem, Virgin would be the ones calling, not BT, so it sounded like a dodgy scam to me.
