Just got a call from one of those supposed Benefits UK folks - same story as loads of others here. You block one number and then boom, they ring back from another one. Either it’s a bunch of different scammers using multiple numbers or it’s just one crew with loads of phones. Either way, I tell ‘em to buzz off and add the new number to my block list. What works pretty well for me is saying “Hold on a sec,” then hanging up and waiting to see how long it takes them to twig that they’re wasting their time. Bet it really winds them up!

Got a call from some Asian guy who just kept going 'Hello' over and over. I told him I was renting under the name he mentioned, then suddenly he just cut the call off with no word. Proper rude, so I’ve blocked the number now.

These Benefits UK callers are driving me mad. I recently lost my husband, and it’s so frustrating to be bombarded with these annoying calls. Sometimes real people do ring, but I always end up hanging up first and then looking up the number. The genuine ones don’t mind at all when I do that.

Oi, these benefits uk lot are at it again! I never said my name or anything, just asked how they had my number. Got no reply, so I ended the call. They keep switching up the numbers they ring from. Tried blocking them but they just come through on a different one. This is the fifth annoying call in just a couple of hours.

On 14th September 2018, around 2.20pm, someone rang asking for Mr X. I told them he wasn’t in and asked who was calling, but as soon as I spoke, they just ended the call straight away.

On the morning of 14/09/18, a lady rang with a foreign accent claiming she was from benefits uk. she mixed up my husbands name which really pissed him off. He told her he was about to hang up, but she pleaded for him to stay on the line. we've been getting a bunch of calls from these lot over the last few days and its getting really irritating now.

I dumbly answered the phone with a quick ‘hello’ and got hit with that annoying ‘how are you today?’ line, which really winds me up since they don’t actually care how I’m doing. The bloke claimed he was from the benefits office, so I just told him to remove me from his list and ended the call.
