I hit 1 and ended up talking to a guy who asked when I last shopped on Amazon. I figured it was gonna drag on and I don’t have free minutes, so I said I’d handle it online then hung up. Afterward, I double-checked my Amazon account and saw I don’t even have Prime. I rang Amazon myself and they said they never call customers like that. Not sure what the scam was exactly - maybe pressing 1 connected me to a premium line, or maybe they’d have asked for personal info like passwords or card details.
