Got a voicemail claiming that my internet would be cut off because I allegedly hacked some government site. Didn't bother with it, just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Got a robo call saying it was BT warning me I'd be cut off by tomorrow if I didn't press 1 or 9. I just ended the call straight away. What a load of rubbish.

Got a call from someone pretending to be TalkTalk - yeah, right, I've heard that one loads of times. They wanted me to check the lights on my router, but I wasn't near it, so told them so. Then they started talking about errors on my computer and issues with the router, blaming some downloads I supposedly didn't know about. When I said I couldn’t find any problems, they just rudely cut me off! Honestly, I had a laugh using up a bit of their time instead - hopefully making it harder for them to scam some unlucky person.

I got a call from a robot female voice, similar to what others mentioned, saying it was TalkTalk. She told me my computer was being hacked or something along those lines. I simply ended the call and turned my laptop off for about ten minutes just to be safe. Bloody annoying.

Got a call a moment ago from some automated voice claiming they’re from Talktalk and saying my account’s been hacked. They told me to press 1 to speak to Talktalk or press 2 to hang up. I just ended the call straight away. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Sounds like this caller is up to no good, probably fishing for details to sneak some harmful file onto your computer. Best not to share anything with them.

Got a ring from 01678967548 the other day. A woman with an Asian accent said she was from Talk Talk and needed to check my computer because they supposedly saw some malware popping up on my server. I wasn’t convinced and asked how I could be sure she was really with Talk Talk, and if I could ring back on the official tech support number I had. She replied they were swamped right now and I couldn’t call back. Felt a bit off, so I just ended the call.

Honestly, what a nuisance! They really should find themselves a proper job instead of bothering people like this.

He sounded to me like he had a really thick Asian accent, I could barely make out what he was trying to say. When he claimed to be calling from Talktalk, I instantly got the feeling it was one of those dodgy scam calls. I told him I wasn’t up for talking and then just yanked the battery out of my phone to stop it.

Somebody called saying they were an engineer from Talk Talk, but I told them I don't even have a Talk Talk account. They just hung up right after. Pretty clear it was a scam.

For more than a year now, I've been getting a couple of calls each week, supposedly from BT or AOL, telling me there's a virus issue on my computer. These calls always come from India. I had one of these calls just this morning as well.

A bloke phoned claiming he was from TalkTalk with all the usual scam nonsense. I told him to do one and go travel somewhere real for a change. I’m now going to report the number to the Information Commissioner's Office so they can look into it, block it, and hopefully fine these con artists.

a bloke called david with a foreign accent rang me, saying he was from talk talk’s tech team. i asked him for some ID and what my number was, and he got all flustered. then he went on about how my router and internet were infected with viruses that were even spreading to talk talk’s servers and might get into my pc. i told him i was with talk talk but actually use a different broadband provider and just keep talk talk for the phone. he hung up straight away. total scam. best to mess around with these muppets like i did.

So this bloke named Shane rings me up, sounds like he's got a foreign accent and claims he's from TalkTalk’s tech department. I’d just finished dealing with a real TalkTalk call earlier, so thought maybe he was legit. He said he could give me my name, address, and account details, and even mentioned he was based in London on Evesham Street if I wanted to check. I played along for about 5 minutes before ending the call. Definitely feels like a scam, but what’s odd is I’d just been to Bala in North Wales, which matches the area code this number’s from. Strange!

Just like a few others on here, someone rang pretending to be from TalkTalk's tech team, asking if they could get into my computer. I've had this sort of call before and it ended up messing with my online phone banking, luckily I realised it was dodgy before anything got taken. I didn’t lose any cash, but I didn’t fancy the hassle again, so I just slammed the phone down this time.

Got a call off some bloke claiming to be from BT tech support, but I quickly told him he was a spammer and just blocked the number. Seriously, when will BT stop letting these spam calls happen? They’ve got to realise that foreigners are using UK numbers to dodge the international caller ID restrictions. Proper annoying!
