Nothing but quiet, then a quick mumble before the line cut off. It’s pretty clear this comes from outside the UK with a fake number, so it’s almost defintely some sort of scam, whether it’s about insurance for appliances or whatever else. Shame they disconnected before I could get any details and report them properly to Action Fraud, not just Ofcom for a silent call! If you get a call like this and have a moment, try to suss out what they’re after - just don’t share stuff they wouldn’t already know - and if it seems dodgy, report it to Action Fraud.

Got a call from this number just before 11 in the morning. I didn’t pick up since the number was unfamiliar, so it went straight to my voicemail, but there was no message left. Seems like it could be one of those scam calls.

Just got a call from 01678528373, said it was Domestic & General. Someone called Amanda was talking about a Hotpoint washing machine warranty. Thing is, I don't own a Hotpoint washing machine at all, so I reckon it's a scam. Watch out!

They called me twice earlier on. The number showed up on my caller ID. I don’t pick up if I don’t know the number and they never leave a voicemail. If it were family or mates, they’d always drop a message to ring back.

I got called by a lady with a fancy accent asking if she was talking to Mrs Brayford. When I told her no, because there’s no one here by that name, she just ended the call straight away. Haven’t heard that name around here ever.

Got a call from someone using my name, claiming it was about my washing machine warranty. They didn’t even check if I own a washing machine or ask me properly for my name. Then they just said sorry and ended the call. What kind of scam is this supposed to be?
