An organisation purporting to be a PPI refund service rang me up, asserting that I might be eligible for a PPI repayment of £3500. Be wary and do not disclose your credit card details. It’s clearly a pack of scammers attempting to fish for sensitive information!

Had a really hard time making out his fast-talking Indian accent. He said I was owed £2,000 from Blackhorse, but to get it, I supposedly had to fill out a life insurance form - even though I didn’t want it. He told me if I gave my bank details, including sort code, I wouldn’t have to cover the 60-70% charge on the payout. When I started asking questions about who he was and if this was legit, he got rude and just hung up on me.

called about some kind of ppi claim and asked for my bank account number and sort code, which seemed a bit fishy to me.

Some bloke called saying he was from a PPI company, told me I'd got a claim for over £3000. Then he tried to get personal info like my dob and stuff. Seemed dodgy straight away. I asked for proof and hung up when he couldn't back it up. Total scam.

I couldn’t help but chuckle when the bloke answered the phone with a thick Indian accent. He started talking about how I could qualify for some sort of discount on my energy bill. Then he wanted to know what kind of heating I use at home. I told him I wouldn’t say, and that’s when he just ended the call.
