It's not as if they play fair; they simply acquire numerous phone numbers from various locations across the UK just to trick you into picking up the call. It's a blatantly shady way of doing business, if you ask me!

They keep ringing me almost every other day, sometimes I answer and other times they just hang up. They say they’re from BT, but I’m convinced it’s just another dodgy scam. I’ve told them to stop but still get these annoying calls all the time. If they don’t quit soon, I’ll have to report them to the police for harassment.

SCAM alert! Someone pretending to be from BT’s tech team rang me up, saying my internet would be cut off for several days because of some dodgy activity linked to my IP. They wanted me to install this app called Team Viewer so they could supposedly sort it out remotely. I didn’t trust it at all and didn’t click on any downloads.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from TalkTalk, mentioning they’d spotted our internet speed issues. They inquired about who uses the connection, but their tone didn’t sit right with me. I decided not to engage with them any further as it felt rather suspicious.

Some bloke said he was from BT and warned my internet would get cut off. I asked him for a number so I could check if he was legit, and he got really mad about it!

Good job I decided to check who it was cos the number was from just down the road. If I had answered, I probably wouldn’t have been tricked, but I might have ended up blowing my whistle at them! If they get cheeky when I tell them to say when they’ll ring back, I reckon I’ll give them a right loud blast through the phone!

I got a jingle on my phone at a quarter past eight this morning. After they had gone at it four times prior, I finally picked up. They were supposedly from Talk Talk, claiming that my internet was under threat. I told them there were no issues on my end and promptly hung up before blocking the number.

I dont get why BT dont sue these idiots who say they’re from BT but they’re not. Surely if they’re using a phone number, it’s easy to find them and stop this scam. Feels like no one’s really doing anything about it.

My phone rang a few times, about four I think, and then the caller just disconnected. Bit odd if you ask me.

Some bloke rang up saying he was from BT, telling me my internet was gonna be cut off for three months unless I sorted it with him. Tried to convince me he'd fix it, but sounded dodgy to me.

Got a call on 14th Sept 2016 but as soon as I answered it just hung up. When I checked 1471, it showed up as an unknown number. Since then, my computer's been acting up real odd!

Got a call from a bloke who sounded Asian, asking if I was Mr ######. There was loads of noise behind him so I couldn't really catch much. Whenever I get calls like this and I pick up (which I usually do if they give me a number), I just tell them no, he's shifted to a different place.

I’ve received numerous calls from this number throughout the day. When I finally picked up, they started rambling on about computer backup services that I know nothing about. They claimed they could guide me through the cancellation process; otherwise, they would proceed to withdraw funds from my bank account. I promptly hung up on them.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT, saying they needed to sort out my internet. They asked me to be in front of my computer to follow some steps. I told them it wasn't a good time for me. When I requested proof, like an account number, they said it wasn't needed since they were supposedly from BT. Honestly, watch out - this sounds like a total scam!

This particular number has been incessantly ringing my phone, so I’ve opted to ignore it entirely and let my voicemail take the call. Strangely enough, nobody ever seems to say anything when I do.

Just a heads up, there are these two blokes, Steven Roger and Mark, claiming to be from BT technical support. They keep telling you your BT setup is unsafe or something. Don’t fall for it - they’re not actually from BT at all and definitely not from their London office. This is a total scam, so watch out!

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming he was with BT, saying my broadband was about to get disconnected. Total nonsense, not from BT at all. I asked him what account he was referring to and which address he had on record. He just snapped back saying I didn’t know anything and told me to buzz off! Seriously, complete scam. Don’t ever hand over your info to these types!

I'm proper fed up with loads of calls from people pretending to be 'Windows Security Support'. It's been driving me insane, and I ended up being quite rude to the woman on the phone. Can't take it anymore!

I've been receiving numerous calls from this number without picking up, but eventually, I got fed up and decided to respond. On the other end was someone with a thick accent, suggesting that my internet service was about to be disconnected. I was taken aback and told her, "I've no idea what you're on about." After that, she abruptly ended the call. I’m thoroughly tired of these persistent nuisances! x

Received a call today, twice actually, from someone claiming to be with BT warning me my internet would be cut off. The first call came from a London-based number. Honestly, doubt they'll do much to stop these scammers anytime soon.

Well, here’s a fresh number to add to the list!
Just yesterday it was 0148, and now it's jumped to 0167.
I had an avalanche of calls this morning, but I only picked up after a good while.
Who knew Talk Talk had such an extensive network of call centres, eh?
I'm on the lookout for some crafty tricks to give them a right runaround so they’ll leave me alone. Any suggestions? 😈

Received a call at half past one-didn’t pick up, naturally. Tried ringing back, but the number was unfamiliar. It’s quite possible that this is someone trying to experiment with bypassing call blocking features. Curious, isn't it?
