Received a call purporting to be from BT Openreach. When I informed the caller that I wasn't a BT customer, he stubbornly insisted that it made no difference. His accent was quite thick, making it hard to follow what he was saying. He asserted there was an issue with my internet connection and pressed me to log in so he could investigate further. It definitely felt like a dodgy scheme, so I decided to cut the conversation short.

I received a call on my seldom-used landline from someone named 'Michael'-though I have my reservations given his accent. The line was filled with background noise from what sounded like a call centre. I didn’t bother continuing the conversation and just ended the call.

Got a call alot on my hardly used landline from someone named ‘michaef’ (not sure about the name, sounded odd), background was noisy like a call centre, saying they were from BT. Didn’t bother, just ended the call straight away.
