I got a call from some bloke with an African accent claiming he was Kevin from Microsoft, saying there was an issue with my computer. I just told him I don’t own a computer and hung up straight away.

Honestly, some of these people from abroad really should try to speak proper English instead of all that confusing nonsense.

Got a call around 9:40 on a weekday morning. It was a woman speaking with some kind of weird American accent, claiming she was from Microsoft about my computer. I honestly told her I don’t even own a computer right now and she just hung up on me. Definitely felt like a scam, not someone to trust at all.

There was absolutely nothing at all on the other side. Just silence after a brief moment, then it cut off. I've gone ahead and blocked the number.

I got a call from them and was pretty firm with the person on the line. After a bit, he probably figured it wasn’t worth his time and just ended the call.

Got a call from some folks claiming to be from Microsoft, said my PC was full of hackers and dodgy stuff. Usually I have a laugh and mess with them, but today I was too tired so I just acted like I couldn’t make sense of their weird accent and strange words.

I received a call from someone purporting to be with Virgin Media, alleging there was a problem with my router. Once I probed for more information, the person on the other end started to sound quite nervous and ultimately disconnected the call. It’s abundantly clear this wasn’t above board, as they failed to give any clear responses when I pushed back. I've since blocked the number and reported it. Just a heads-up to others-this seems like a tactic aimed at those who are less savvy. Stay vigilant!

These lot keep ringing, saying they’re from Microsoft or something. I told them to bugger off quite a few times, but they just won’t stop. After about a dozen calls back to back, they started having a laugh, telling me “we were cut off” like it’s some kind of joke. Proper annoying!

BEWARE! This is a TOTAL SCAM. Don’t be fooled by these dodgy schemes. Loads of folks have reported losing a lot of cash to these cheats just this September alone. The number of these scams is going up fast, so never ever share your personal info or bank details with anyone. If you get a suspicious call, text or letter, report it straight away to Action Fraud. Also, spread the word on your social media and get others to share it too - it’s proven to help stop more people from getting caught out. Cheers for helping fight this mess!

Got a call and my missus answered it first. The person on the line said her computer had a virus, but she told them she don’t own a computer, maybe it’s yours then. When I took over, the answers were all over the place, and I quickly sussed it was a con. After a few choice words, I hung up and blocked the number straight away.

Some bloke said he was from Microsoft, said my computer was hacked or something. Told him to bugger off, then he got all mad and shouted some rude stuff back at me before I just ended the call. I really can't stand these sorts who try to scam folks, especially those who might not be able to defend themselves.

Some bloke called pretending to be from Microsoft, spouting all sorts of rubbish. I just let him ramble on until I got sick of the rubbish, then I ended the call. He said he was calling from somewhere in the UK - total fabrication! Right after I cut off, he redialled from a different so-called UK number, asking why I’d hung up. I wasn’t having any of it and told him straight that he was a proper liar and could do one. Felt good to put him in his place, but sadly, I reckon some folks might fall for this rubbish.

Some bloke with a nasty tone called claiming to be from Microsoft Windows, asking if I was the owner of the PC. Straight away I knew it was dodgy, so I told him we have a few computers here and asked which one he meant. He got pretty annoyed, kept shouting about the one at home, then just hung up. It all sounded like one of those hectic call centres.
