I’ve had four calls in just thirty minutes from numbers I don’t recognise, all saying they’re from Market Rasen, but I’ve noone there. I only pick up if the number is familiar to me. For any strange caller, I lift the receiver silently, say nowt, then hang up by gently placing it back down and stepping away, keeping the line busy so they can’t ring again immediately. I leave it like that for about half an hour before going back to it. If anyone in my family needs me, they’ll ring my mobile in the meantime.
