7 yearsReceived a call at 8:45 this morning, delivered in an overly polished English accent, claiming my phone number had been associated with some dubious activities. The caller insisted that if I spoke to their so-called experts, the matter could be resolved, or else, my internet would be terminated within the next day. They offered me a couple of options to select via my keypad. I chose to remain quiet, and moments later, the line went dead. I can’t express how appalled I am by this. My husband had undergone a significant cancer surgery just yesterday, and my initial thought was that it might be the hospital calling with concerning news. It's utterly disgraceful that such vile practices are still permitted in our country.
