my mother in law got a phone call saying £600 had been taken out of her bank account and if she didnt authorise it she should press 1. we always warned her these calls are dodgy so she just ended the call straight away. we've also told her to not answer or respond to any more calls pretending to be from visa.

I received a rather alarming message today, stating that my Mastercard had been utilised within the last twenty minutes in a different nation, and a hefty sum of £600 had been taken out. The instruction was to press 1 immediately to halt the transaction. Quite concerning, really!
