I've been getting quite a few calls from this number, supposedly from Unite (the union), trying to talk to my daughter (who, by the way, does belong to Unite). Honestly, the amount of complaints we get is ridiculous. There are people facing genuine issues out there, so maybe chill a bit! I don’t mean to be harsh, but I’m just fed up with this nonsense. Just say, “Please remove me from your list,” and we won’t bother you again. And seriously, no need to be rude to us - we’re just people trying to do our work. Some of us have families to support. I get that sales calls can be annoying, but if you simply say you’re not interested, that’s fine with us, no hard feelings. I’m not part of the Unite union but this number has phoned me four times today! Can someone explain why I’m getting hassled so much, especially on a Sunday? It feels pretty dodgy to me. Usually, if a legit organisation calls, they’d leave a voicemail along the lines of, “Hi, this is so-and-so from Unite. We’re conducting a quick survey about the Labour leadership for our members. Sorry we missed you, we’ll call again.” And they’d also give a way to opt out, like a phone number or email. None of that happened here. The number was 01670897220. Quite annoying, honestly.

They told me it’s their political team trying to get people to join the Labour Party. I asked if they could stop the calls and they said they’d forward the request to the right call centre.
