I received a call from someone with a strong Indian accent, and let me tell you, it was a right dodgy affair! This chap was attempting to swindle me out of my cash, pushing me to purchase a Google Gift card and an iTunes voucher. He was going on about some incredible discounts, but I could smell the fishiness from a mile away. Sure enough, it was just a typical scam trying to fleece me!

They said I'd get a refund on my mortgage if I spent £300 at Tesco and kept the receipt as evidence. Then someone was supposed to visit my home with vouchers. I ended up hanging up on the caller, and when they rang again, I didn’t pick up.

This number keeps ringing me, they’re desperate for my private info and even threatened to turn up at my mum’s place. They said something about cash back or £2,000 compensation from some financial stuff. Honestly, best not to pick up if this number shows up.

So I got a call where they confirmed my elderly dad’s name and address, saying they’d be coming round tomorrow with a cheque for more than £500. It sounds dodgy to me, especially since they already have all his info. Now he’s worried they’ll really turn up tomorrow.

Today I got a random call from someone claiming I had £3750.00 waiting for me from Santander, saying it was originally with Abey National Bank. I mean, how on earth did they find out about my mortgage details? Really strange.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent saying he was Mark Edwards from the FCA. Asked if I had got their cheque yet? Apparently, I was owed £3750 for some insurance mis-sold along with my mortgage from Midland Bank (which I actually had, so that bit was right). He said a courier would bring the £3750 later on today because I hadn’t got the cheque, but I’d need to pay a 10% fee first. The number he called from was 0207 0433747. He sounded a bit confused about whether he was from the solicitors who'd made the claim against Midland or actually from the FCA.

Got a call earlier claiming I was entitled to £3600 back from my mortgage and they'd be posting me a cheque.

Some bloke rang claiming he was from a Financial Services company, telling me we’re owed more than £3000 from a mortgage that finished back in 1990 - how on earth do they know that stuff? I didn’t hand over any bank info, so he told me someone’d show up at my place this arvo with a black envelope holding the cheque. Fingers crossed the dogs don’t scare them off!

Got a call from someone in the Morpeth area, an Indian bloke saying he was Mark Edwards. He told me a guy from the FCA was going to send me a cheque for £3750 or cash, but only if I gave him a prepaid Google gift card with 10% of that amount first. Said they wouldn't send anything unless I paid upfront. Seemed totally dodgy to me.

This number has been ringing me up loads lately, some bloke claiming he's with the FCA. He's telling me I've won a cheque for about £7,000, but the catch is I need to go buy a Google card and load £375 onto it before they send it. Sounds dodgy to me!

Got a call from someone saying they were with the FCA about a PPI refund. They asked if I’d be home this afternoon to accept a cheque for 6K, then tried to confirm my address. But when I checked the number, it showed as not recognised. Bit fishy if you ask me.
