I received a call from someone with a strong Indian accent, and let me tell you, it was a right dodgy affair! This chap was attempting to swindle me out of my cash, pushing me to purchase a Google Gift card and an iTunes voucher. He was going on about some incredible discounts, but I could smell the fishiness from a mile away. Sure enough, it was just a typical scam trying to fleece me!

They said I'd get a refund on my mortgage if I spent £300 at Tesco and kept the receipt as evidence. Then someone was supposed to visit my home with vouchers. I ended up hanging up on the caller, and when they rang again, I didn’t pick up.

This number keeps ringing me, they’re desperate for my private info and even threatened to turn up at my mum’s place. They said something about cash back or £2,000 compensation from some financial stuff. Honestly, best not to pick up if this number shows up.

So I got a call where they confirmed my elderly dad’s name and address, saying they’d be coming round tomorrow with a cheque for more than £500. It sounds dodgy to me, especially since they already have all his info. Now he’s worried they’ll really turn up tomorrow.

I received an unexpected phone call today, claiming I have £3,750.00 waiting for me from Abey National Bank, which has now become Santander Bank. I can't help but wonder, how on earth did he get hold of my mortgage information?

Received a rather peculiar phone call from someone purporting to be a Mark Edwards, claiming affiliation with the FCA. He inquired whether I had received a cheque that was supposedly due to me. Apparently, I’m entitled to £3750 due to mis-sold insurance related to a mortgage I had with Midland Bank, which is accurate. He mentioned that a representative would come by this afternoon to hand over the cash, as I hadn't yet seen the cheque. However, there was a catch-I'd have to cough up a 10% fee. He dialled in from 0207 0433747 and seemed a bit confused about whether he was representing the solicitors who made my claim against Midland Bank or if he worked for the FCA. Quite the odd exchange!

Received a call earlier claiming that I was due a refund of £3600 from my mortgage, and they said they'd be dispatching a cheque.

Claimed to be from a financial firm, he insisted that we were due a sum exceeding £3000 related to a mortgage we settled back in 1990. How on earth did they dig up that info? I flat-out refused to share any banking details with him, and then he had the audacity to say someone would swing by my home this afternoon with a mysterious black envelope holding the cheque. Let’s hope he’s not put off by a bit of barking!

I received a rather dubious call from an individual identifying themselves as Mark Edwards, who appeared to be of Indian descent. This person claimed that someone from the FCA would come bearing a cheque for £3750, or a cash equivalent, should I first hand over a prepaid Google gift card for 10% of the total amount. They were insistent that the delivery wouldn't occur unless this upfront payment was made. The call seemed to originate from somewhere in Morpeth. Quite the questionable scenario, if you ask me!

I've been receiving numerous calls from this number, and it's always the same story - an individual with an Indian accent claims to represent the FCA. They keep telling me that I've won a cheque worth around £7,000. However, they're insisting that I must first purchase a Google gift card and load it with £375 before they can send me the cheque. It's clearly a scam, but it’s becoming quite tiresome!

Just received a rather odd call from someone who presented themselves as being affiliated with FCA regarding a PPI matter. They enquired if I would be about this afternoon to take delivery of a cheque for six grand, which sounded a bit dubious. They then wanted to confirm my current address. However, when I tried to verify the phone number, it was flagged as unrecognised. Quite suspicious if you ask me!
