so this just happened, got a call that someone’s been using my internet and now BT's threatening to cut me off unless i give them remote access to my PC! seems like a proper scam to me.

It seems that there's a cheeky individual tapping into my internet, and BT's threatening to cut me off unless I grant them remote access to my computer. I found the whole thing rather amusing. They didn’t find it so funny, though, and promptly ended the call!

After blacklisting a bunch of those dodgy numbers, these scammers with thick Asian accents keep switching up their tactics by making their calls appear local. Just had to block them yet again.

I received a call from a woman with what seemed to be an Indian accent, claiming to be from BT. She said something about outside parties accessing my internet. Honestly, I struggled to grasp her words due to her accent, and when she asked me to go online to sort it out, I decided it was best to just end the call.

My landline rang and a bloke with a really thick accent started talking nonsense about BT. Honestly, I couldn’t make out what he was going on about. The person who answered just hung up but warned me they’d be back on the line the next day. Definitely a scam, and I’m planning to let them know when they try again. Seriously thinking about ditching the landline altogether.

I just let the call go to voicemail, and like I expected, there wasn’t any message left. I always figure if it’s important or real, they’ll take the time to leave one.

When I picked up the call, there was nothing but silence on the other end.

I received a call from this number, so I answered with a "hello", but they hung up on me after a few seconds without uttering a single word. It left me rather puzzled, so I did a bit of digging and discovered it’s likely a scam linked to BT.

I didn't pick up when they rang; instead, I had a quick search online to find out whose number it is. They've tried to reach me on two occasions so far. Honestly, the only calls we seem to get on our home phone are dodgy ones, so I tend to ignore them entirely. Is there any way to put a stop to this?

some bloke with a thick foreign accent kept rattering on and i couldn’t catch a single thing he was saying. when i told him i didn’t get it, he went on slower saying he was calling from bt and there was something wrong with my bt internet. clearly some dodgy scam, and funny enough, i’m not even a bt customer.

On the 11th of September 2018, at approximately 14:33, I answered a phone call from a woman who had a pronounced Indian accent. She claimed that there were unauthorised individuals accessing my internet connection, but I found her speech rather hard to follow. It appeared she mentioned she was representing BT, which, I should note, is not my service provider at all. When she directed me to connect to the internet, I firmly expressed my suspicion that it was a scam and asked her not to call again.

Received a call just now from a woman with an Indian accent, claiming to be from "BT Technical Department." The line was dreadful! I decided to end the call, yet it rang again almost immediately, but this time there was nothing but silence on the other end when I picked up. Very strange indeed!

I opted not to pick up the phone - instead, I did a quick search to find out who was ringing. It seems like the only calls we receive on our home phone are dodgy sales pitches, so answering has become rather rare for me. Is there any way to put an end to this nuisance?

Got a call from a man with a sort of Indian accent, saying he was from BT and that they needed to shut off my internet. I just found it funny and ended the call - I'm not even a BT customer. Sadly, a mate didn’t realise it was a scam and ended up losing money from their bank because of it.

Got another call from a number that first showed up as unavailable, then kept ringing from some random one. The person on the other end, with a really thick accent, claimed they were from BT and that my internet had been hacked. I told him he was quite the genius since I’m not even a BT customer, then just ended the call. These kinds of calls are so annoying - is there no way to block them for good?

Just got another call from someone in Pakistan claiming there’s been a breach in my internet service. It’s clearly a scam! I wish we could just tell them to jog on, and honestly, the world would be a much nicer place without these dodgy calls.

Getting really annoyed now, just had my third call in a couple of hours all from different numbers. They all say they're from BT and some nonsense about my internet being hacked or I’ll get cut off after 1pm. This has been happening way too much lately, someone really needs to do something about these calls. It’s gone on for far too long!
