Got a call from this number, 01670732617, a bloke with an Indian accent who claimed to be from BT about my internet. Got a call from someone claiming to be Daniel at BT saying my IP had been hacked. I said I doubt that's right and he sounded proper annoyed. Ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call super early from an Indian bloke claiming to be from BT. He said there was something wrong with my internet, asked me to check the lights as apparently I had a virus that needed sorting right away. I told him to be clearer about what the actual problem was. Since I work with Cyber Crime, it was obvious straight away it was a con. I kept him on the line as long as I could, then outta nowhere he started yelling insults at me, called me a bloody dog and was totally rude.

The number was unfamiliar, so I just let it ring out and no voicemail was left. After seeing what others have said here, I'm pretty relieved I didn’t pick up. Lately we get bombarded with these scam calls multiple times daily, and it’s super frustrating. Even when I block one number, they just call from a new one, so blocking doesn’t seem to do any good.
