I picked up the phone but said nothing. There was a really noisy call centre buzzing away in the background. A man with an accent said “Hello” a couple of times, but then he kept messing up my surname, said it wrong not once, but twice! So yeah, I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Had a ring from a number I didn’t recognise. Didn’t pick up and they didn’t bother leaving a voicemail either.

I'm fairly certain it was a robo call. The voice claimed to be from an energy company and wanted me to verify if I was the property owner. I asked her to specify which property she meant. Then she said they were just ringing everyone in the area. I asked which area exactly. She said a supervisor would call me back with details. I told her I didn't get why she couldn’t say which postcode or property they were referring to. She just thanked me for my time and ended it there. The whole thing felt a bit dodgy, her answers weren’t very straightforward.

So, this person rings up my cafe claiming to be from some energy research group. Then she starts asking if I own the place, rent it, or if it’s council housing. When I told her it’s actually a coffee shop, she just ended the call on me. Really odd behaviour.
