1 yearAfter I answered, there was a long silence before a man with an Asian accent said hello and claimed he was from the ‘BT Technical Department’. He told me they’d seen some ‘changes’ on my router over the past couple of days. Thing is, I'm not even a BT customer, but I let him continue for a bit. When I asked what he meant by these ‘changes’, he snapped, ‘Just listen and I’ll explain.’ I told him that was quite rude and asked for his identity. That’s when he hung up. Heads up, this isn’t really BT; it’s likely a scam from, I’m guessing, India, trying to fleece you.BT Technical DepartmentBTIndia1 yearGot a call from someone claiming to be BT, telling me my old router is rubbish and I need a new one. Total scam alert! Problem is, I don’t even use BT as my provider. I didn't let them go any further - sounded like a classic scam attempt. We're definitely on the TPS and not in any directory, so no chance.TPSSubmit Your Own Report (01670 282012)
