Somebody rang me saying they were from BT Reach and warned my internet would be cut off soon because of illegal activity linked to my line. Since I handle data security at a large firm, I knew straight away that was nonsense. I kept pressing them for their identity, company info, and a contact number, but they dodged my questions. Then they asked me to let them access my computer remotely. Obviously, I said no, and they just hung up. Seriously, don’t ever share your device details or let anyone who says they’re from BT Reach get remote access!
