I got a message on my voicemail from this number saying HMRC are about to arrest me! It told me to press 1 or else, totally a scam and pretty rubbish compared to others I’ve had. I know better, but if you’re dealing with tax issues at the time, it’s proper nerve-wracking. The call actually came when I was sorting a dispute with HMRC, so I reckon they count on people already stressed out and maybe checking other HMRC messages or emails. Anyway, just ignore and block it, never give them any details or ring back - HMRC always contact you by letter, never like this.
