Got a call earlier from a bloke claiming to be Alba Solutions. He kept saying they weren't here to sell anything, but then started asking about my doors, windows, and soffits, claiming there was some kind of government grant to improve them. Sounded dodgy to me so I just ended the call. Later, I rang the number back and the voicemail said Flash Solutions. Anyone else find this a bit suspicious?

From what I gather, the ex call centre worker is basically saying that lots of folks get angry and shout at whoever's calling without realising the caller didn't choose to be the one on the line. These callers are just doing their jobs to make a living, and actually, call centres in the UK employ over a million people. So, for those who get all annoyed by a simple phone call - which you could easily handle by just saying "no thanks" and hanging up - think about how you might feel if those people lost their jobs and had to rely on benefits. Just something to consider.

So this bloke, Kevin, was calling me up as part of some local round of calls. Before he could go on, I told him we’re on the TPS list. He said sorry and promised he’d take my number off his list straight away. Knowing how these things go, I reckon he’ll be ringing back again tomorrow anyway.

To anyone who’s been on the other side of a call centre line - 23/5/17. You ring folks without asking if it’s alright first. Many are unwell, some are older, or stuck picking up the phone because they’ve got family in hospital or need to organise childcare. Picture yourself in that situation, getting bombarded with 10, 20, even 40 calls a week from people "just doing their job," working for businesses that push out hundreds of thousands of unwanted calls weekly. Do you really think you’d stay calm and polite?

I've signed up for the TPS and still received a call from 01667415796, some company called Alba Solutions. They told me I needed to sign up again every six months, which sounded odd. So I contacted TPS myself, and they said that’s rubbish - I’m still on their list.

I just had a call from 01667415796, and they were after the homeowner. They introduced themselves as Alba Research, and I believe they’re based in Nairn. A quick search online revealed that they seem to be trying to make a profit by getting unsuspecting folks to fill out an energy efficiency survey on behalf of one of their clients. Quite dodgy if you ask me!

This number has been ringing me loads recently. The other day, before the bloke even knew he was on the phone with me, he went off on a rant about his crazy night out, full of swearing. I told him off for being so rude, but he stayed on the line, which was a bit of a relief! Still, they’ve been calling constantly over the past few weeks, which is pretty annoying.

Got a ring from 01581 635386, and the bloke said he was Chris from Alba Solutions. He started asking if my place was a detached or semi, how many windows I have, and the age of them. I told him I’m on the TPS, so I shouldn’t be getting marketing calls like this. Then he passed me over to his supervisor. The supervisor said sorry for bothering me and mentioned they get phone numbers from somewhere else and promised to take my number off their list. I told him I’d be reporting them anyway.

Got a call from 01530887671 earlier, some woman trying to push windows on me. I was shocked since i'm on the TPS list and was told they block all these sales numbers. She then passed me to her boss just to prove it. Reported it to TPS but they said they couldn't track them down. Proper pointless!
