Some bloke with a weird accent called, said his name was Gary, trying to convince me to cut down my TV bill from £7 to £5. I told him I didn't even have any subscription with them, and asked who I was supposedly paying. He just muttered something about a third party and told me to check my documents. I asked how he even had my details, since I never signed up. Then, out of nowhere, he told me to “be quiet” and just hung up on me. I've blocked the number now.

Had a call from a firm calling itself Utilities Smart Club. A woman named Catherine said she was contacting me about taking over my TV warranty plan. She asked for my card info to keep the cover going, but I said no. She kept pushing for my details and then passed the call to a bloke called “Brad”. He was the same, trying hard to get my card numbers. What really worried me was that they already knew the first 4 digits of my debit card. Just a heads up to everyone: never share your card details on the phone, no matter what they say.

The phone rang and I could hear the typical pause and clicking that you get from those call centres overseas. Then a woman with a foreign accent came on, saying I’d supposedly got a TV subscription for £7. I told her she’d got the wrong number and she just hung up on me. Feels dodgy to me - they're probably just fishing for your bank info.

There was a brief pause before a bloke with a British accent asked if I was Mrs Xxxxxx. I replied, 'No, I'm actually Mr 100000!' I then asked if I could be of any assistance, but he just ended the call.

I got a call from a woman with an accent, saying she wanted to lower my TV package from £7 a week down to £5. She even knew my name, which was a bit unsettling. When I asked which company she was with, she just kept repeating that she wanted to cut my plan. The thing is, I don’t have any plan with them at all. I reckon she was probably trying to trick me into giving personal info or messing with payments. Once I told her I didn’t have a plan, she just ended the call straight away.
