The chap on the other end insisted he simply wanted to run a brief survey with just three questions, taking no more than half a minute, and assured me he wasn’t out to peddle anything.

I didn’t pick up because the number was unfamiliar and now I've just blocked it. Lately, I got a call from a PRIVATE number and ended up falling for a scam. Normally, when doctors or hospitals ring, it’s also from a private number, so that’s why I usually answer. Such a pain!

In the early hours, like around 3 or 4 am, this unknown number kept ringing me. I usually ignore calls I don’t recognise, so I didn’t pick up at first. Then a couple of days later, I decided to answer and said hello, and some bloke just echoed hello back which kinda freaked me out, so I quickly hung up. They rang straight back after that but I just let it ring out and didn’t bother answering.

It rings me a couple times every day, which gets really frustrating especially when I'm expecting a call that actually matters. A few weeks ago, I had a similar number doing the same thing, so I blocked it. Now, this new one looks almost the same, just the last 3 digits have changed. I really don’t understand why they bother with this.
