Even though the number looked like a local landline, I’m pretty sure it was a scammer, probably from one of those call centres. The guy spoke with a strange foreign accent and claimed he was ringing about my computer. He kept pestering me about whether I was the only person using it. I tried to brush him off a few times before just hanging up. I didn’t waste any time and dialled the number back straight away, but it just kept ringing with nobody answering. It’s quite alarming that it appeared as a local number on my phone.
