ive been gettin these calls every day this week sayin my internet will be disconnected within 4 hours if i dont pay my bill. its all automated and kinda annoying!

When I picked up, it was all silent at first, then a man with an Asian accent asked if Mr. T asked for him. There are actually three people with that name here. After I said so, he just hung up straight away. Seeing what others have said about calls like this, I’d honestly say this call seems dodgy.

I got a call around 9:50 in the morning on a weekday, right in the middle of the coronavirus lockdown. The number showed as international, but when I checked it didn't seem to be from abroad. When I picked up, there was a long silence before a strange, high-pitched female voice said a word I couldn’t make out, then they hung up straight away.

So this person said they were from the “telephone preference service” and told me my credit card linked to the account had expired. But why would a free service need my card details? Seems dodgy to me.

Someone called and knew my name straight away, but when I asked who it was, they just stopped talking and stayed on the line. They didn’t hang up or say a word after that, which felt pretty creepy.

This number rang me up and my phone said it was an international call. I tried finding out more through the 1471 service and this number popped up. The person on the line claimed they were from the TPS (telephone preference service). They had my full name, exact address and even knew I pay my bills by direct debit. When I asked for their address, they gave the correct one for the TPS. But as soon as I pressed for more info, they just cut me off.
