I was visiting my older aunt who lives just a couple of houses down from me. She got a call, so I answered it for her. The woman on the line claimed she was from Microsoft and was enquiring about her computer. Thing is, my aunt doesn’t own a computer or have any internet service at all. It’s clearly a scam, so just watch out for calls like this!

A guy with an American accent called me yesterday claiming to be from Microsoft. I said I don’t own a computer, and he asked if I had a laptop. I said no, then he just cut the call. Today, he phoned again before 9 in the morning, and I warned I’d report him. He got rude, said he’d shut down my computer, then ended the call abruptly.

Right from the start I suspected it was a scam when I picked up. I said to the woman on the other end that I'd hurt myself badly falling down the stairs and urgently needed her to ring an ambulance. Surprisingly, she flat out refused and carried on yammering about some supposed danger to my computer. I kept begging her in my weakest voice to assist me, but she just hung up on me. It was awful, honestly - if I was really in trouble, they clearly had no intention of offering any help.

I got a call from this number 01663265129, and the person said they were from Microsoft saying there was an issue with my computer. Thing is, I don’t even own a computer! I told them I'd ring later and they gave me another number to call back on, which was 02032305969. Quite suspicious if you ask me.

So today at around 11:06, I got a call from a woman claiming to be from Microsoft, supposedly based in India. I answered her in Welsh on purpose, and when she told me she couldn’t get what I was saying, I just ended the call there. It’s really frustrating how these scammer groups manage to fake normal UK numbers - it’s proper annoying.

I told them I'd ring back later, and they gave me another number to call, which was 02032305969. Sounds dodgy to me.

I had an issue with Windows 10 and rang Microsoft support to sort it out. Since that call, I keep getting loads of calls from different numbers, including this one, all claiming they can fix my PC or warning me that my computer is going to shut down soon. Before I contacted Microsoft, I never received these kinds of calls. Seems like there's only one place they could have got my details from. It's really disappointing if Microsoft staff are sharing users' info like this.

This bloke called twice claiming to be Brian Matthews from Microsoft tech support. I told him straight that if my computer has issues, I’ll only get help from folks who actually know their stuff. He didn’t hang about long after that.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who said he was Steve, working for Microsoft. He asked if the computer linked to my address was mine. I asked him what the reason was. Then I told him he had just woken up my poorly husband. I never asked for the call and told him not to ring back before hanging up.

Had a call from a lady saying she was with Microsoft. I told her, “That’s not true,” a few times. Then she told me my computer was blocked and just ended the call. Funny thing is, we haven't even owned a Microsoft device for more than a decade!

I got a call from some bloke with a sort of American-Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. I told him I actually use an Apple, not a Microsoft PC. Then he started going on about how my Apple was getting hacked. When I pointed out he said he was from Microsoft, he just cut the call. Honestly, these calls seem very dodgy, so don’t share any details with them.

Got a call from this number claiming my Microsoft account was compromised on my PC. I said I only use an iPad, and Apple usually blocks all the dodgy stuff, so I wasn’t bothered. The lady kept insisting it was about my computer, but I made it clear I don’t have one, just the iPad. Then she just abruptly ended the call!

Got a call around 9.30am on the 5th June 2018 from a bloke with an American accent claiming to be from Microsoft. He told me my PC was being hacked which seemed a bit dodgy to me. I ended the call straight away and then that same number rang me two more times, but I just ignored it. Watch out for these calls - they sound legit but I reckon it’s a scam.

Got a call from someone named Eric, who said he was from Microsoft. I didn’t let him speak for long at all. I usually don't pick up foreign numbers anymore, but this one showed as UK, so I answered. Pretty sure it was just another one of those scams.

Just got a call about ten minutes back, and it’s not the first time this has happened. A bloke claimed he was from Microsoft and was calling about my PC. I recently received a call that went straight to my voicemail. I attempted to report it on a different platform, only to find out that this number has already been flagged as associated with "Microsoft" and claiming there's an issue with your computer, among other things. this number rang me early today, but i let it go to voicemail and no one left a message. i tried to look it up on your site like i normally do, but kept getting stuck on the default check number screen whenever i hit search or return. i spotted this same number showing up for another person saying it was a ‘microsoft’ call - so maybe they figured out how to get around your blocking system. finally got it to work and was able to post my comment. great service, thanks a lot!
