Got a ring around 8:55 this morning, but the caller ID just said INTERNATIONAL, so I ignored it. They didn't leave any voicemail. Later, I looked up the number - it was 01658 454 856, which isn’t even assigned to anyone, so I’m pretty sure it’s some kind of scam. Honestly, if BT’s the provider for your line, they really should offer a better call-blocking service at no extra charge. Otherwise, it feels like BT might actually be benefiting from all these scam calls, which is pretty disappointing.

I had a rather unpleasant experience with a rather aggressive gentleman from Asia who called. My wife picked up the phone, and when he inquired if he could speak to me, she politely asked what he needed. He then lost his temper, raising his voice and insisting on speaking to me. My wife declined his request and hung up, but he wasted no time in calling back, having a go at me before abruptly ending the call. Quite extraordinary behaviour!

I got a call from an 08 30 number and when I asked who was on the line, the person immediately wanted my name and postcode. As soon as I questioned them, they just cut the call. Definitely feels like one of those scams to me.

I got a call from someone saying they're from the Department for Work and Pensions, saying I’m on pension credit. They told me they’re based in India and apparently, there’s about 50 folks working there (I actually asked!). The first call was yesterday, and the bloke said he’d ring back today. Someone did call me this morning, then another one just now. I ended up speaking to three different people today. When I asked the last guy to remove me from their list, he refused unless I gave them some info. I’m pretty sure they’ll be ringing me again tomorrow!

Initially showed up as an international dial but when I picked up it switched to this number, some bloke said he was with Grant Advisor and wanted to talk boilers. When I questioned which firm he was from he said he wasn’t with a company and didn’t have any registration ID. Might’ve been some call centre from India. Got a bit pushy and said he’d ring again to speak to my wife when I didn’t give out any details.

I told him straight up we don’t do cold calls and he just wouldn’t stop ringing. As soon as I ended the call, he’d ring me right back, not once but a bunch of times. Eventually, I had no choice but to pull the plug on the phone. When I turned it back on after a bit, there he was again, bombarding me with calls non-stop. Honestly, it’s not just annoying, it’s proper irritating.
