Got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC, told me I hadn’t paid some tax and needed to sort it immediately or face court action. They tried to get my bank info, but I told them HMRC wouldn’t ask for that over the phone, they’d send a letter instead. Definitely felt fishy to me.

This bloke said he was from Barclays, but when I asked why he was ringing me, he just went quiet. Then he started asking for my name and where I live. Not a chance, I’ve blocked the number straight away.
