Got a call from a woman saying she was from some company called Litchfield Price. I'd never heard of them before, and she was asking for me by my first name - only close family ever calls me that, so it felt odd. When I kindly asked her to stop the call, she got quite rude, so I just had to hang up. Didn’t want to put up with any more nonsense, so I blocked the number straight away.

Absolutely awful experience. Properly aggressive bloke on the phone. He kept insisting I’d claimed PPI and that I had to ‘comply’. When I corrected him, this guy with a thick Welsh accent snapped back saying I should visit my GP because he thought I might have dementia or something. Isn’t that kind of abuse almost illegal?! One trick that’s worked for me is keeping a whistle nearby and giving it a few sharp blasts when they finally answer. It really does the trick! I’ve managed to stop loads of companies that just wouldn’t stop calling.

Got a call from someone with a Welsh accent, sounded Bridgend-ish if the number was right. Claimed to be from Lichfield Financial asking about PPI. When I asked where they got my contact, they dodged the question. Asked for what info they had on me, again answered unclear - felt like they were trying to reel me in. Total scam attempt if you ask me. I told them firmly I’m not interested and to stop bothering my phone. It’s mad how these companies and the idiots behind them keep pestering people. Some PPI firm called me up knowin my name, acting really rude and all over the place. They claimed I was entitled to more than £2500 and tried to quiz me about my finances to "confirm" it. When I asked where this cash was coming from, the bloke couldn’t give me a straight answer and started getting abusive. Told him I wasn't wasting my time on his nonsense and quickly ended the call. Had a strong regional accent too.

About two years back, someone rang me claiming to be from Ifonic Claims. They kept saying I was due extra compensation since the banks hadn't paid everything they should. It ended up with the caller giving me this weird little speech about sex and travel! Very strange call. Caller ID didn't show much.

So this is wild, Nigel got a call about a car accident claim but he’s never been in one. He never gave out his number, 07969398980, to anyone yet somehow they paid out loads of cash, like 10,000 quid or something! Now he’s getting constant calls from these troublemakers, always ringing his mobile. He’s definitely not involved in any crash and never gave his number to start with. They’re using his number to make these calls and getting paid for it. Nigel’s thinking of reporting the number because he’s being charged somehow and it’s not right. It’s like they’re scamming using his phone number and he’s fed up with all the calls. If anyone calls him claiming it’s about injuries or car accidents, he’s not having it and plans to make them pay for using his number without permission.
