I'd never heard of them before, and she was asking for me by my first name - only close family ever calls me that, so it felt odd. One trick that’s worked for me is keeping a whistle nearby and giving it a few sharp blasts when they finally answer. It really does the trick! I’ve managed to stop loads of companies that just wouldn’t stop calling.

Some PPI firm called me up knowin my name, acting really rude and all over the place. They claimed I was entitled to more than £2500 and tried to quiz me about my finances to "confirm" it.
