I've been inundated with calls from this particular number, as well as a few others that seem to share the same pattern. Each time my phone rings, I simply disregard the call, hang up, and take the step to block the number altogether. It’s been a right nuisance, tallying up to about 55 bothersome calls from mid-April through to July, and I can only assume there’ll be more to come. Here are a few other numbers that have been plaguing me: 01565341984, 01217551701, 01618146504, 01513758901, 01513759642, and the list goes on.

I just got a call from someone claiming to be John Foster, and at first, it was proper gibberish. I told him to speak slower, and then he started spelling out his name J-O-H-N. How on earth do these lot get hold of my mobile number? I’ve been quite sharp with scammers on my landline, and now they’re ringing my mobile too. I’m in my seventies but luckily still sharp as a tack. These scammers really need to be cracked down on because, as we all know, some poor folks fall for their tricks.

Better to just ignore that call. Some bloke with an Asian accent said he was Paul from “love my offers” trying to ask about my home situation. Thing is, I’m only 21 and don’t own a house. I kept trying to find out why he was calling but he wouldn't give me a chance to talk, just kept interrupting me, so I ended up hanging up quick!

Got a call from someone called "Vanesa" claiming to be from Love my offers, asking for just 30 seconds to answer a few questions. The number showed up as Bridgend on my phone, but she said she was actually calling from South East Asia. She already knew my name and, oddly, my business address and asked for my age as well. It’s clear they’re scammers, trying to trick innocent people into giving away personal info through what seems like a casual chat. Just saying “yes” can be enough for them to grab your voice for things like bank security. Absolutely disgusting and dodgy characters! I just received a call on my mobile from a number claiming to be in Bridgend, Wales. It rang twice before cutting off. When I returned the call, the recording presented me with three options: 1. I can’t recall what was said, 2. remove my details, or 3. speak to an adviser. Naturally, I opted for the third choice and was connected to someone who was clearly overseas-the ringtone was a dead giveaway-and definitely not from Bridgend. I inquired about the reason for their call, but she abruptly hung up on me. Since I was anticipating an important business call, I thought it prudent to call back, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. I recently had a rather uninvited phone call from a chap who introduced himself as John Foster - quite the surprise given his unmistakable Indian accent. Clearly, he was trying to pull the wool over my eyes with that name. He claimed to be representing some company called Versa or Verso (the call supposedly originating from Bridgend, if memory serves). He insisted it was merely a survey that would take a mere 30 seconds of my time. When I explained that I was swamped with work - running my own business, mind you - he just wouldn't relent. It was incredibly off-putting how he kept interrupting me and pressing for answers despite my attempts to decline politely. After saying 'no' repeatedly, I had to interject forcefully, "I said NO! Please remove me from your list." As soon as I attempted to finish my sentence, the line went dead. This kind of behaviour screams cold calling! Truly baffling how persistent these individuals can be!

Got a call from this number, and it was one of those call centre things. The bloke on the other end said hello thrice, even tho we only said hello twice. So, we just hung up. Seems like this number is linked to Versa Group, who do direct marketing stuff. Best to ignore it unless you like wasting time on random sales calls.
