I received a call from someone who said they were reaching out about some funds that had been fraudulently taken from my credit card, linked to a Bitcoin scam or something similar. The person had a noticeable accent that sounded foreign.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from Bolton, trying to sell me Asian credit cards and Bitcoin. Could hear what sounded like some call centre nonsense babbling away in the back. Classic scammer behaviour from Pakistan, I reckon.

Got a call this morning saying there had been two charges on my credit card, one for £250 and another over £1,000. They told me to press button 2 to speak to the fraud department. A man with a foreign accent came on the line, but when I asked him some security questions, he couldn’t answer any of them. Definitely a scam, so be careful and don’t share any details. The number was 01656737337.
