As soon as we picked up the phone, there was nobody on the other end, and then it just cut off. This happened around 8 o'clock in the evening. We understand that many folks are out and about at that time, but we’re in a bit of a tricky situation. Being disabled and having three children means we can’t simply disconnect the phone line; we need it in case of emergencies when it truly matters. It’s quite frustrating, to say the least!

Delighted to discover we’re not alone in being hounded by Talk-Talk. It’s a strikingly similar tale; we took a peek at their offer, and lo and behold, they already had our phone number! It makes one ponder just how many times they’ll keep ringing us up. Surely, there comes a moment when this approach becomes utterly pointless, doesn’t it?

Earlier today, I received a total of eight calls from this number. Each time I answered, the line went dead right after the initial ring - very puzzling! After it happened so many times, I decided to call back, only to hear a recorded message saying they were trying to get in touch, and that they'd make another attempt later. Can we not just make sense of this? What in the world is OFCOM doing regarding these silent calls? If there's an organisation squandering millions year after year, it has to be OFCOM, without a doubt!

I've been receiving calls from this number five or six times a day. We did give them our fax line (from that online checker), so they just end up getting a fax tone when they ring us. It's quite amusing, really! I’m curious to see how long it will take for them to finally throw in the towel.

Got a call claiming we wanted details on phone system prices - which we definitely didn't agree to! Before that, there was a silent waived recording from a hidden number, I just let it ring out to see when it would stop. I never pressed any buttons to be put through. Managed to chat with a manager who promised to look into it, but I’m not holding my breath. We’re on the TPS list, so they really shouldn’t be ringing us. The call came from some Bridgend call centre, with their main office in Nottingham.

I just had a call on our home phone from this number. The woman claimed to be from something called 'Solutions' and then, when I asked more, she said 'Solutions Marketing'. She already had my wife’s name and at least the first part of our address. They said they wanted to help us cut costs on our broadband and phone bills. Thing is, they didn’t even know who our current broadband provider was, which made me think it’s some kind of fishing attempt from a random list, maybe trying to pitch for someone else. I made a note of the number by calling 1471 after telling the lady (who was quite courteous, I’ll give her that) we weren't interested now or later. I’m on TalkTalk and they offer a really handy FREE call blocking feature. Just got a call from 0165667900 with no voicemail left, so I did a quick search online and saw these warnings. I decided to block the number straight away! It’s simple - I just dialled 14258, followed the voice instructions to enter ** and it confirmed the number’s now blocked. They say if the caller rings back, all they’ll hear is, "The person you are trying to reach doesn’t want to take your call!" Maybe your phone provider has something like this too - definitely worth checking out.
