Got a call about telephone preference, they first asked for my name and postcode, then suddenly wanted my debit card's expiry date. When I refused, they said it was the last part to sign me up for a perpetual tel preferencing scheme. I told them no thanks, it’s rubbish anyway, and ended the call. They rang straight back but this time from an international number. Took a while before I could finally get them off the line.

Got a call from some overseas call centre. They wanted to speak to my husband but when I told them he can’t hear, they just hung up on me.

I got a call from 01656 656304 and it sounded like someone from a foreign call centre. They claimed it was about the telephone preference service and asked for my card expiry date, saying it would impact my direct debit. When I said no, the guy got really rude, then hung up. I called BT afterwards and they told me it was definitely a scam.

I got a call and could hear a bunch of people chatting like it was a call centre somewhere overseas. The woman said her name was Nancy or something like that. She claimed she was calling from the telephone preference service but then suddenly started asking for my credit card details, even the expiry date! I didn’t hang up straight away but as soon as she asked for that info, I just cut the call.

I got a call from this number earlier today at around 12:52, but when I answered, there was nobody on the line. It looks a lot like some other numbers that have been ringing me loads lately. Feels like it could be one of those dodgy scam calls.
