7 yearsGot a call on 2nd April 2019 around 11.55 from someone claiming to be from BT offering a discount on my bill. He introduced himself as Russell Johnson, apparently the head of verification. He asked for my 16 digit card number and even told me the first 4 digits, then wanted me to confirm the rest. Nearly fell for it but got suspicious and said no. Then he threatened to cut off my phone line. I told him to go ahead and disconnect, I’d just ring BT myself. Luckily, my line’s still working.
