Received a robocall pretending to be from Amazon, warning me that my Amazon Prime would automatically renew for £79.99 unless I pressed 1 to talk to someone. I can see why folks might get tricked by this, especially since these calls usually come right before my free Amazon Prime trial finishes. This time though, I’d already cancelled Prime and even got an email from Amazon confirming no renewal would happen. Makes me question if it’s just luck that these calls come at the right time, or if scammers somehow get hold of actual Amazon Prime membership info.
