This number keeps calling my elderly mum and dad, who are 82, pretending they're from Amazon. Seriously, best to just ignore any calls coming from this one.

Absolutely sick of these idiots ringing me non stop. Sometimes I wonder if it'd be wrong to just say what I honestly think about them, but yeah, probably ain’t worth the hassle.

I got a call from 0165436122 claiming to be from TalkTalk about my internet. When they asked if it was okay to talk, I told them I’d already told TalkTalk I only want to be contacted by email. Then they just ended the call.

The lady who rang me must have been new at it because she paused for a moment trying to figure which phone company she was supposedly ringing from. She claimed there was a virus on my PC, but when I just said "Alright" in a skeptical way, she probably realised I wasn't an easy mark and ended the call.

Today I got two calls from someone claiming to be Talktalk. The first call said there was an issue with my internet, which I didn't believe so I just ended the call. When they rang back, I didn’t bother picking up.

Some bloke with an Asian accent rang me, going on about how he could stop nuisance calls. Then out of nowhere, he started asking when my Visa card was going to expire. I was like, what’s that got to do with anything? So I just ended the call straight away.

Had a bloke ring me, trying to get my credit card details, I told him I wasn’t into that sort of thing. He then said he’d post me some gadget to stop all the annoying calls. I hardly ever pick up my landline anyway, so no chance of falling for it.

Got a ring from this number earlier. Some bloke with an Asian accent who said his name was Alex. He kicked off by asking if I'd been bothered by any spam calls lately. I told him yeah, actually, I had - courtesy of him! He said he was just trying to help and that it didn’t qualify as a nuisance call. When I told him I wasn’t up for whatever he was offering, he raised his voice at me before slamming the phone down.

The phone rang and nobody said a word before hanging up. I've seen this number a few times before. I usually check 1471, but I never bother calling back. Yet this one keeps ringing me often.

Got a call from someone saying they sell call blockers for annoying calls, and somehow they knew my address. They asked me about when my bank card expires, then the phone just cut off. In just two days, I’ve been bothered by two really dodgy scam calls. I’d already tried using a blocking service, but these calls keep sneaking past it. Proper frustrating!

I’m a PC tech and have dealt with this stuff loads. They call pretending to fix your computer but really want to install spyware like keyloggers. They’ll try to trick you into opening a port so they can sneak in remotely. Honestly, just put the phone down straight away - don’t give them the chance!

I got a call from these lot trying to trick me into letting them onto my PC so they could install some sneaky spyware, something called a keylogger or the like. They want you to open a port or something so they can control your machine from afar. Honestly, just hang up straight away! I work fixing computers and have dealt with this rubbish loads of times when sorting out customers’ machines.

Got a call from someone saying they were "Alex from Talktalk". It made me think - could this be linked to that data breach Talktalk had last year? I’m pretty sure Talktalk never ring up customers out of the blue like that.

Got a call from Machynlleth in Wales, with a weird number like ??2222?22222227?22?2n0 - total nonsense! Didn’t say a word, just dead silence when I picked up. Definitely sounded like another dodgy scam attempt. Wouldn’t bother replying to that one!

I got a call from this number today and there was quite a pause after I picked up before anyone spoke. The voice sounded Indian but was hard to make out properly. When I said that, the person asked me, “Can you hear me, ma’am?” Because I’ve heard about scams where they use your “yes” as proof you agreed to pay, I was careful and replied, “I can hear you, but not very clearly.” Then, they just hung up on me. Reading through some of the other comments here, I’m guessing this number wasn’t trying anything sneaky, probably just didn’t like me being difficult!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from BT, supposedly to address issues with my computer. They insisted that my device was generating errors and offered to guide me through the process of rectifying it. Their first instruction was to enter 'Eventvwr' in the run dialogue box. My advice? Steer clear of this! If you're feeling brave, you could play along, but if you don’t feel up to the task, simply hang up. I ended up wasting a good twenty minutes with this chap, and he didn't exactly take it well when I questioned his tactics-let’s just say, his language was rather colourful! Not my idea of a pleasant chat.

Got a call from someone saying they were with BT, talking about problems with my computer causing errors. They asked me to type 'Eventvwr' into the run box on my PC. Honestly, don’t fall for this! If you’re brave enough, mess with them a bit, but if not, just end the call. I wasted about 20 minutes on this bloke and he got proper angry and started cursing at me. Not a pleasant experience at all.
