It insisted that I had made a purchase exceeding £700 and urged me to press 1 if I hadn’t placed such an order, or else I’d be receiving the item soon. Clearly, it wasn’t genuinely Amazon since the call came through on my landline-an outlet they certainly don’t utilise for such matters! It’s infuriating as these types of calls seem to plague my landline regularly. My advice? Just disregard them. They keep switching numbers, so blocking is just a futile exercise.
