Got a call from someone saying they worked with BT to offer a call blocking service. It didn’t sit right with me since BT usually gets in touch by email or letter. I just ended the call straight away, pretty sure it was a scam.

Had three dodgy calls this week all from the same spot - 01653 669811 was one pretending to be Amazon, asking about a gift card purchase. Then there was 01653 669396 and another number, 01653 669305, both saying they were from telecoms or BT, claiming to be working with my phone company and wanted to find out how many landlines I had. I told them right away I knew it was a scam and they quickly ended the call. So far, all these numbers have the same 01653 code and the 669 prefix.
