Lately, I've been getting calls at around 8:45 in the morning every day from 01653 669183 or numbers very much like it. I don’t recognise the number, so I just let it ring out. There’s a few more numbers that seem to be part of the same scam, like 01653 669031 and 01653 669583. Definitely not from anyone I know!

Today at just after 9 in the morning, I got a call from 01653 817 604, which seems connected to this other number. It was an automated message from a woman with an English accent telling me I’d been scammed out of £600 and to press 1 or 2 to talk to someone. I actually reported this scam back on 28/01/2021. Makes me wonder why they keep targeting me first? Bit odd if you ask me.

Heads up about this number! Got a call around 12:33 this afternoon from it. There was a robotic voice telling me £600 had been charged to my debit card, and then it asked me to press 1 or 2 to get in touch with someone. Classic scam to trick you and end up with a massive phone bill! Avoid it.
