I received a phone call from someone who had a distinctly foreign accent, purporting to be from Virgin Media. They were inquiring about my experience with their customer service. somebody called saying they were from virgin media but their accent was so strong it was hard to understand. they started asking about 'customer service' which immediately made me suspicious since virgin media dont even have customer service! then they offered a free upgrade but said it would actually end up costing me more every month, even though all the other parts of the upgrade were "free". i told them virgin medias service is terrible so no way am i paying anything extra.

I must admit, I was quite unsettled that the caller had access to my home address.
