11 yearsI received an extremely obnoxious call from a call centre regarding an accident that I've never had. First, I engaged them in conversation just to see what they were about. One of the women kept addressing me as "love," which I found rather irritating, so I had to politely ask her to stop. Just five minutes later, the phone rang again, and I simply decided to cut the call short. Yet again, in the afternoon, I ended up on the line for a tedious half-hour chat with a chap whose voice was as dull as dishwater. He actually went so far as to call me rude! To make matters worse, he shared his odd political views, stating that he'd wished UKIP had won because they were keen on making firearms legal-then he’d come over to my place and shoot me in the kneecap. In a bid to bore him to tears, I started reciting the same six pages of a children’s story until, thankfully, he hung up on me.
