I received a call from a gentleman who had a distinct Indian accent, and in the background, there were some rather excitable voices, possibly belonging to children or women, making quite a din. He spoke in a hurried manner, almost in a sort of ramble, which made it quite difficult for me to grasp what he was on about. I inquired about his identity, but he merely continued in his rapid-fire chatter. I had to interject and request that he slow down, stating, "Please, could you tell me who you are?" However, he persisted in his gabbled speech. I managed to catch a phrase or two that sounded something like "there's an issue with the security of your internet connection," or at least something along those lines. At this point, I decided to hang up and promptly dialled 1471 to trace the number. Interestingly, I discovered that the area code 01651 is linked to Oldmeldrum in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, according to the Ofcom website.
