some bloke with an indian accent said he was from citizens advice, immediately made me suspicious. i told him to p*** off and hung up straight away.

I got a call from a bloke who sounded Asian, said his name was Martin and that he was ringing from Citizens Advice. He reckoned I hadn’t got back to him about some support with debts I supposedly had. Obviously a scam since I’ve never contacted Citizens Advice and I don’t owe anyone a penny.

I got a call today from someone asking for my life insurance info. The guy had such a thick accent, I was struggling to catch what he said. Turned out, he sounded pretty dodgy. I got a call from someone claiming to be Sam from the "public health department," but he spoke with a bit of an accent I couldn't place. He asked if I’d had any vaccinations recently. I asked him which one, cause there’s loads of different jabs nowadays. He said flu, and I told him no. Then he wanted to know what reaction I had to it, which confused me 'cause I just said I hadn’t had it. Then he started reading out my old postcode to see if it was right. I said it wasn’t. Then he asked for my new postcode, but I told him since there’s no actual "public health department" as he called it, I wasn’t sharing any info. Just after that, he hung up straight away. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from someone asking whether I got my vaccine last year, I just said only if that’s what your files show. Then she cut me off straight away. It definitely felt like one of those sales calls and weirdly she called me ‘Mr Richard’. Too many red flags, so I’m blocking this number for good.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from Citizens Advice, going on about Government schemes for clearing unsecured debts. Didn’t buy it for a second, just hung up and blocked the number. I swear, everytime you get one of these calls, it’s like the same voice doing the rounds everywhere!

The caller ID said Inverurie, Scotland, but I wasn’t expecting any calls from there so I just ignored it. Later, I blocked the number and read a few reviews which pretty much proved it was a scam. Felt better knowing I didn’t pick up!

They called me claiming to be from Public Health about a flu shot but totally messed up my name. I told them I’d sort it out with the doctor and then they just ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Nationalise Solutions, said they were based in Manchester but sounded like a call centre from India. They called me "man" and kept pestering me to join in or whatever. Seriously, don't hand over any info, just ask them if they’re really from Bangalore or somewhere like that. Total scam!

Some bloke called saying he was from the UK Health Dept, wanted to check if I’d had my jabs. I asked him to say again where he was calling from and he just ended the call. Felt pretty shady to me.

I missed a call from an unknown number so didn’t pick up at first, but then they called again almost immediately, which sometimes happens with the hospital so I decided to answer. The connection was really poor and right away they got my name wrong. Then this person told me they could see I’d had my flu jab and wanted to check if I’d got a vaccination certificate. I told them I’ve had the flu jab every year for 33 years and never got a certificate because it’s all recorded on the NHS app. After that, she just hung up - definitely a scam!

Someone called me using my name but had a thick South Asian accent and spoke very little English. They claimed to be from Citizen Advice. I didn't let him get a word in after asking why Citizen Advice would be ringing me. He just cut the call. When I tried ringing back, it kept busy. I’ve blocked that number now. About two weeks ago, I got a call from a similar number, so I recorded that one. Definitely scammers trying their luck.

Honestly, I reckon it was just spam. The caller claimed to be from the Public Health office, wanting to “update” my health details. Nope, not happening. I sort everything with my GP myself, cheers very much. Ended the call straight away and blocked the number after that.
