6 yearsI got a call supposedly from Amazon Prime saying they were charging my bank account a subscription fee. They told me to press ‘1’ if I wanted to cancel. Just to see what would happen, I did it. Then this bloke with a thick Indian accent got on the line, telling me strangers were trying to order stuff in my name on Amazon and that I needed to stop it. Next thing, he was trying to convince me to give him remote access to my laptop - like I’m daft enough to fall for that! I hung up sharpish.
