Got a call from a bloke with a really heavy Indian accent, and there was loads of background noise like he was in a busy call centre. He claimed there’d been some dodgy activity involving a third party and said that TalkTalk might have to disconnect my line because of it. Weirdly, he knew my exact address linked to the phone number and asked me to look up IP addresses or something.

Some guy ringing claiming to be from Ofcom - yeah, right. They asked me to hold on for a bit, so I hung around for a few minutes but heard nothing. I then blocked the number. When I tried calling it back, it said "number not recognised." Pretty sure it was a scam.

I'm pretty sure it's a scam, so if possible, try reporting it to the police or relevant officials.

Got a ring from that number earlier. It kicked off with some robotic voice saying “urgent call.” I ended the call quick and came here to see what’s up. Looks like a scam to me, obviously.
